Compassion UK are a charity who work all over the world to help release children from poverty.
At Bollinbrook, we want to be a school who:
We are so incredibly thrilled to be able to sponsor Naomie Grace – a 5 year old girl from Burkina Faso. What a privilege to be able to change a child’s life! It costs £28 a month to sponsor Naomie. This pays for food, healthcare, basic needs and access to the Compassion Project for education, love and care. We would so massively appreciate any donations, no matter how big or small, to support Naomie. There is a donation pot in the main entrance.
If you’re interested in sponsoring a child yourself or have any further questions, please speak to Miss Corker and she will be more than happy to help.
In accordance with the Department for Education, we aim to actively promote British values in our school to ensure that pupils leave school prepared for life in modern Britain.
Our school vision incorporates the theme of ‘no outsiders’ – there are no outsiders to God’s love, we are all welcomed just as we are. We celebrate difference, uniqueness and the value and worth of each child. British values are addressed and taught through our collective worship and are woven throughout our school life at Bollinbrook, along with our Christian values.
We are now into our fourth year of the ‘Young Leaders Award’ at Bollinbrook. This inspiring award teaches children how to be successful leaders and serve their community to ‘be the change we want to see in the world’ and is currently running in year 4. We were recognised in our latest Ofsted report for helping people less fortunate than us through charitable work. For our community project last year, year 4 led the school in not one… not two… but THREE projects!
We collected for the Silk Life Foodbank in Macclesfield.
We collected donations for Ukrainian refugees to send to the Hope Centre in Macclesfield. We had many donations which were generous and will help many families. If you haven’t yet visited the Hope Centre in Macclesfield then go and check it out!
Year 4 went out into the Macclesfield community to litter pick! Looking after our environment and being ‘stewards of creation’ is so important.
