Profile I live locally and have two children at the school. I volunteered as a governor to contribute to the school and have been a governor for 4 years now, having initially started as a parent governor and then more recently transferring to become a foundation governor.
I work as a Maths teacher so take particular interest in Maths at Bollinbrook. I am enthusiastic about improving education and opportunities for children at all levels and work as part of my job mentoring trainee teachers to help develop their skills and to keep myself challenged to keep up with the latest developments in education. Volunteering as a governor has given me experiences to see education from a different angle.
I enjoy playing badminton and going to a Pilates class. From time to time I try to run the local parkrun, but only in good weather and very slowly! I play the viola and have played in local orchestras as well as school productions and enjoy singing at a very amateur level, as well as taking part in musical activities at our church, Macclesfield Methodist Church.
